Santiniketan
Santiniketan, the memory of Rabindranath Tagore, is a witness to the association of literature and culture. In the small town of Birbhum district in West Bengal, India, every year, many Rabindra Anuragi tourists visit the country.

The former name of Santiniketan was Bhubandanga. In 1863, Debendranath Tagore established a monastery in this city and named it Santiniketan. About 40 years later, Rabindranath Tagore established a recital here in 1901. Which at that time changed the course of the education practice drastically. Later this year, the school became the Visva-Bharati Maha Vidyalaya.

Presently, Santiniketan has further enriched Poush Mela, Spring Festival, Joydev Kenduli Mela, Chhatimtala, Rabindra Museum, Ballabpur Wildlife Park, Nandan Art Gallery, Sonjhuri and Amarakuti. For years, Santiniketan has been satisfying the hearts of knowledge and lovers in the beauty of nature, education and culture.

When to visit Santiniketan
November to February is the best time to visit Santiniketan. Santiniketan is the summer tour will be better off, during the winter you can walk around Santiniketan.
